Notification for changing a document

Question

I Need to know how i received a notification directly after a document was approved with CC enabled. 
 We normally have a add in to use and then distribute to all shareholders the new approved documents via a distribution list eg:Policy 
 I have now received this mail notification below, i would like to know how this was sent to me, and if so how can i use this notification for all shareholders so next time when i update a document with CC, the notification sends a mail to all recipients intended for

 This functionality is available on eB WEB. You need to install Subscriptions option on WEB, as below

And Subscription link will appear under Actions.

Hi Dean, 
 
This notification was sent as a result of subscribing. User can click on Subscribe link under Actions, select event type (Approves or Revised) and such notification will be send if selected event happens
