Scopes, roles and permissions

Hi all,
Another question on Scopes. We are defining Roles and Users. We create a Role in the Global scope, we add the required permissions, we add a user and then we add the user to Member Role in a child scope. The problem is that the user can't perform the actions in the child scope because he "doesn't have the required permission", but it should have them, because it should inherit permissions from the role in the global scope.
Please advice. Many thanks,
Ezequiel.

Hello Ezequiel,
Could you please provide more details:
1. permissions were assigned to roles on global and on child scope
2. the action that user is trying to do

NT

Hi NT,
1. No, permission are assigned only to a Role in the Global Scope and the user is on the Members Role in the Child Scope named BACS.
2. The administratives permissions are for example Classes/Class and Classes/Template.
Thanks,
Ezequiel.

Hi Ezequiel,
Some permissions are “general” and don’t have anything to do with scopes, while others work with scope-specific data. For example, granting permission “Make 'My eB' Available” to Global\Users allows any user to use My eB. But “Break Relationship”, "Class" or "Template" has to be granted on a “per scope” basis.
Regards,
NT
