Work Exchange Displaying Orgs, not Skills

We are running eB 15.4.1, and we have had an issue crop up just recently on two PCs (that we know about).  When these users open their Work Exchange in Director, they do not see the Skill folders.  They still see their personal Work Exchange folders, but instead of Skill folders, they see an Organization icon and a few work tasks attached to it.  These work tasks are not Active, and, as a matter of fact, their respective workflows never made it into Production.  They are actually seeing the task templates.  We had them log onto another PC, and there were zero issues.  We had IT re-image one of the machines, but that did not help.  I deleted the "test workflow" template to get rid of the tasks in their Work Exchange, but they still only see their personal folders and one Organization.  For the record, these two PCs would have been newly issued.  They may not be new computers, but they were at least clean when they were issued.  Do you guys have any ideas?

  • Hello Robert,

I think that it might be caused by incorrect Director version on these two machines. Maybe you do have HF on your app server and other machines does have updated version of Director and on these new machines Director from original package was installed.
Unfortunately there is no easy way to identify do you have updated version of Director or not (Build version under About Director is same for Director from original package and for Director from HF).
Try to reinstall Director using HF package you have on your app server and let me know how it goes.

  • Gintautas,

I am working with IT to get this issue resolved, and they had a question for you. It looks like our eB-related files are a bit of a mess, and they are not sure which HF package that we should be running. We are on version 15.4.1, do you know the latest HF we should be using?

  • Hello Robert,
For version 15.4.1 latest HF is HF00360. This HF supersedes older HF versions.
You could try copying Director form working PC. Directly copying might not work, but if you copy files from Director folder (there should 3 files) to Shared directory (default location - C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\eB\Shared) and then copy across to new PC you should be able to launch Director. By doing this you are sure that Director version is correct.
Let me know does that solves issue.
