Installed 16.3.1 core server and all of the supporting frameworks, redist, clients, etc., etc.
16.3.1 gives an error when trying to create a new datasource:
'The type initializer for 'Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleConnectionStringBuilder' threw an exception.'
Any ideas? The db target is the same as another server that works, so, this is related to this specific server.
Does 16.3.1 not support Oracle 11 any longer?
Hi Ken, I just checked the manual for 16.3.1 and the supported versions, I am afraid Oracle 11g notmentioned anywhere. Just to confirm, you are using 126.96.36.199 or 188.8.131.52 client?I am not sure, but this issue comes in early stage last year and we have to re-run the ODP.Net on client machine again to rebuild the connection.
