Comply-Pro- Must Know- FAQ-Limitations- Improvements

Is there a record, query list, Principle Working Structure, Improvements planned in the tool-

What is the effects on the improvements in which the Comply pro is depended upon? DOORS is getting updated to DOORS-NG

What other applications is Comply pro used apart from the Requirement management.?

  • Hi Praveen,

The consensus is we don’t really understand what Praveen is asking here. We suggest saying:

“ComplyPro improvements and upgrades are notified and discussed with Qatar Rail who are the principle point of contact for such matters”.

Could you please send us more detail regarding this.

  • Dear Carma De Villiers,

Thanks for your response, I had forgotten this query.

As this is a forum, I assumed all the queries are generic and not specific to the project.

My Questions are related to improvements and can be treated as feedback as well wherever applicable.

1.I have no concerns that you will share/notify on the upgrades with the Principle contact.

    1. For rest of the queries, detailed as below-Hope this clarifies

As a Key user in Comply Pro, when I access Comply Pro-

    1. I am not able to see any help window(F1)-

Wherein as a bare minimum, the basics and training materials that were shared/presented during the course of project is accessible as a quick reference.

I am sure all the material (Training) made on purpose to be useful for the users. In addition, if not available on demand may be the purpose is not realized.

    1. FAQs- The Comply Pro landing window can facilitate a FAQ-Frequently asked questions page - So it would be easier for the users to refer, understand and learn from other people/queries.
    2. As a user of comply pro and learning the tool and its uses, I would like to know how the system can be visualized in the future (DOORS getting its own version DOORS NG, How is comply pro going to adapt to it? etc.,) and how would this benefit the user.
    3. Is there a scope/possibility for Comply Pro to go beyond requirement management, Such as Test management, Data Analytics live performance monitoring etc.,

    Thanks

[CW] There is no F1 help functionality in ComplyPro. After the next upgrade (2017B) there will be a link on the landing page to the process guide and the various ComplyPro guides and documentation.

[CW] After the next upgrade we can look at introducing a ComplyPro user’s forum where we would welcome comments and FAQ’s. (This won’t be part of ComplyPro though)

[CW] There are currently no plans to support DOORS NG, which is quite different to DOORS 9.5. There are no plans to move away from DOORS 9.5 in the short-medium term, but longer term the development for ComplyPro will be around a cloud based solution integrated with Bentley’s Connected Project Portal. This will allow very flexible and fine-grained integration with other Bentley products, more stability, scalability and performance, single sign-on and many other benefits of a truer web-based cloud service.

3.Is there a scope/possibility for Comply Pro to go beyond requirement management, Such as Test management, Data Analytics live performance monitoring etc.,

[CW] Yes ComplyPro can be configured to manage any form of data including test plans/procedures/results etc. Your Client Point of Contact should be able to advise on how you could request extensions to the existing processes within ComplyPro. As part of the work described in point 2 the roadmap is to surface data into the Bentley Connected World Where Real Time Analytics may then be a possibility, but it’s not possible at present.
