Hello,
I'm unable to delete a document copy using the SDK. The message I get is this:
"You may not delete this record since it is being referenced by other records. The statement has been terminated."
How can I find out what's referencing the copy? Or even better, how can I delete the copy regardless of the references?
Thanks!
Hi Mario,
Has the document been distributed? If so you have to recall the copies and break the relationships to persons, etc.
The document itself have links to other documents, items, electronic files, etc. You first have to break the relationships to this, before it will allow you to delete the copy. All relations (Links) has to be removed.
Hi Mario, any feedback on this or has it been resolved?
Carma,
Sorry for my late reply.
The documents were not distributed. What I found out is that the document copies were in a table called fileplan_sync, which I guess is populated by disposition jobs. I'm able to delete any other document copy that is not in this table.
Do you know if there is a job that deletes documents that have been flagged by the disposition jobs?
Thanks,
Mario E.
You have to go to the file plan that the document is linked to. Check to see if it is linked to the move or destruction. Delete the document from the file plan. Then re-run the recalculation from the parent file plan. You should now be able to delete the document copy from the document that was on the file plan before.
Let me know if you are unable to do this and we can have a remote session to resolve the issue.
Thanks
Carma
