A client of ours raised the following two questions:What is the function behind the Allow Circular Reference?
And what does the Directed Property do?
Circular Reference is allowed when document A is refereced by Doc B and Doc B is referenced by Doc C and Doc C is refrenced by Doc A.To avoid Circular Reference, C should not refere to A.NOTE: If you have the checkbox enabled then it will allow C -> A
Circular Refrence refer to the circular linking of the items such as Physical item.
Lets suppose there is an item PI1 and we make a Physical Item List of tha PI1, and add PI1 itself in Physical item list then it generates an error.
Hence you are required to add other Physical item which would refer to the PI1 instead.

Directed Property mean A -> B
If A related to B is allowed but B -> A is not allowed (B related to A ).
Parent - Child documenmt structure is an example of the same.
