Trying to create the typical Document Approval workflow onmy freshly installed 15.5.1.236 using eB Director I was pleasantly surprised todiscover quite a bit of new functionality in the Object Behavior topic of theDocument Class definition.
From the looks of it this is extremely powerful. Fiddling aroundI was not able to find a way to achieve what was readily available in theprevious version, that is the ability to mandate a specific Approval Templatefor Approving documents of the particular class.
I searched through the documentation that comes with thisversion and it still discusses the Extended Behavior of previous versions (seep. 59 of the eB Administrators Guide), there is no mention of it in the Readmeeither.
The bottom line for me is the need to create a documentapproval workflow, I am not specifically targeting documentation for theExtended Behavior. Maybe in this version there are completely new ways ofcreating such a workflow. I certainly hope this ability has not been left out!
Can anyone shed any light here?
Hi Vassilis,
are you saying that the extended behavior option are not there any more ?
here is the screen shot of that from the version 15.5.1 its same as in previous version 15.4.1
Or did you mean the extended behaviour of a template of the class?

Hi Deepti,
I had noticed the functionality you mentioned before but although I searched I could not find a way to achieve what I asked for in my OP.
As I said, I am looking for "the ability to mandate a specific Approval Template for Approving documents of the particular class" or in other words the ability to start a workflow for Approving a document with the click of a button (not with clicking several buttons as in Create a New Workflow Instance - Search for the Document - Attach it to the flow - Calculate the schedule - Start it - etc.). This was certainly possible in the previous version.
I shall raise an enhancement request for you
