Hi Bentley and the eB Forum,
When we send a document on an email (using the eB function Send Email), we get a hyperlink to the document which displays a bulleted list with our document number and then a space, dash, space and then the document's title.
An example (without the hyperlink bit of course) is "SAA3A-EGE-DRG-BBA-000236 - Test Document Title" (but with a bullet point at the front of it)
Has anyone been able to add the revision of the document to the hyperlink at all (so it's displayed)? How is that configured? Can it be done relatively easily and how please?
Many thanks for your help, kind regards,
Julie
Hi Julie,
When sending an email through send email function, the email contains number, name, description and comments.
A simple workaround can help you , You can mention the revision number in the messgae text of the subject line, Or you can add the doument revision number in extend to the document number while creating the document. Example "SAA3A-EGE-DRG-BBA-000236(01) - Test Document Title".

Aakanksha
Thanks Aakanksha. Is there a way we can change eB so that it sends out the revision too? What would need to happen for that feature? Thanks.
Normally in eB, "document no [Rev] - Title " is the format. Hence it would be occurring in the hyperlink itself.
Does the document has the revision or NULL value?
Oh right I see. Yes it does have a revision.
Great.... !!
But how could we get the revision in the hyperlink text though? That bit isn't answered. Thanks!!!
I checked and it in-house and found it as a bug. Best way is to take it via Service Request.
I guess we need to raise it with engineers to make some changes in email plugin.
Please let me know if you need any assistance in that.
