Altering Task Menu

Question

Hello, 
 We have a situation where the approval of a change request is done by a work order. The trouble is when a user open the change request they still the choices to Approve, Cancel, etc... thus allowing them to bypass the process.

What I&rsquo;d like to do is to remove these links where there are ECRs that have Work Orders. Failing that could I just redirect the links?

Hi Andy, 
 If a person has "Change request" permission then he/she can create a change request, and being a owner of a change request, also got the permission to Approve, Cancel, Complete, etc.. 
 If you don't want a person to have that permission, don't assign it to that individual and also do not relate it to that specific group: 
 
 Like in above screen print, no individual person have this Change Request permission, but under "Security Roles" we have a group "eB System Admin" assigned with the permission. So person who is in that group can do Create, Approve, Cancel, etc.. I hope I understand your query and able to describe it right?

 For readers of this thread, there is a custom plugin that can remove various features from the task menu. It is not distributed as part of the core software as it is viewed as requiring the skills of Professional Services. If you believe this feature is of use to yourselves, please post a new post referencing this thread.
