Hi folks,
I would like to be able to set the security on a document dynamically. For example as a document progresses through a workflow it would be good if the security on it could be set via an extended behaviour .
I assume in 15.6 this would require custom event handlers to be written?
Is such a feature coming in version 16?
Any feedback would be great
Thanks
eB’s dynamic groups capability might work here, but will update this thread once we have worked out more.

In the eB Administrators Guide that came with eB v15.6.1, page 31 states the following:
Dynamic groups provide a mechanism to define security dynamically on objects based on particular actions, such as object creation or update. Although the dynamic group name can be defined in the Dynamic Groups entry in the System Admin panel, to fully configure the behavior of the dynamic group requires tailoring by Bentley Professional Services. If this capability is required, please contact Bentley Systems Inc.
So I believe that Dynamic groups will resolve your issue, but I will update you more soon.

Not sure for version for v16, but if you need that automated you can do this using event handler or explicitly setting a step in the work flow to update security which can be done by the assigned person of the work step.
Thanks all for your replies. Was hoping to do this without resorting to the SDK :)
I will look more into the Dynamic Groups.
