missing basket

I have 2 users with the same permissions but one of them gets the following message when trying to access their basket or My eB. - "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

The problem user was created in version 14 and migrated to v15 but has only just now tried to use eB. Can the basket and my eB be re-created easily?

tried the SQL but get this message

Msg 515, Level 16, State 2, Line 1

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'namespace_id', table 'eBUpgrade.dbo.gui_folders'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

The statement has been terminated.

We did little modification on script and now it should work. Let us know the result.

So I have found several more users with missing baskets and missing "my eB"

I did a query on the setting_defs and settings tables and these users do not have entries for Personalfolderid nor personalbasketid, so they do not hava a value to use to insert in to the gui_folders table

there also seems to be several users who do not have an entry for personalbasket id.

Given that the problem users do not have entries in the settings table - could this be why they code above does not work?

It's hard to tell why scripts above fails. I think best way to to deal with this issue would be directly checking data in your DB. Let me know could you provide latest copy of your DB to us and then I would create internal Service Request for further investigation.

I manually added entries to the gui_folders and settings tables and now the problem users have their My eB and Baskets back

Hi Sue/Gintautas,

I believe we have the same issue here with just one user. They can browse to everything in eB objects apart from the Basket, which throws an error of "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". In Director it throws an error stating that the user must have View permission on the folder however. Is there a specific permission for Basket, I would assume there isn't?

Sue - what query did you run to find out if the person's basket was missing?

I use an Access database to view the eB tables

the object_idis the person_id so this query gives me the entries for user 3 (me) and user 2219 that I was trying to fix

I had to insert values in to tables

1. Take out a block of gui folder id numbers (update ithe id register table)

2. Insert in to settings -- Setting_id, object_id, value

104, person id, gui folder id
108, person id, gui folder id+1

3. Insert into gui_folders

Gui_folder_id, My eB, null, 1
Gui_folder_id+1, My eB, null, 1
