What is eB Visual Navigator

Visual navigator in eB web provides simple and unified way to view the design data, related items information and its metadata of an object.

While installing eB, make sure that you are installing the correct plugins, when creating  your own web site.

What does the eB Visual Navigator plugin do?

The Visual Navigator plugin allows you to view and navigate manage the asset-information in eB. A web-based user configurable 2D/3D visual interface with eB based on the DGN Navigator Control and eB.

Supported browsers: Internet Explorer 8 and 9.

Installation:

The Visual Navigator functionality is selected when creating the new website.

Prerequisites

Make sure Visual Navigator Plugin is installed.

How to use it

After installing Visual Navigator plug-in you should see new action “Display in Visual navigator”  under Media options.

In the task pane 

After launching Visual Navigator uses the Bentley DGN Navigator Control and it will be prompted to download the Bentley DGN Navigator Control the first time you select Display in Visual Navigator for a document or tag.
Locate the i-model you want to open by searching document or tag  and select the option "display in visual navigator" and select the i-model to view. As it would take few minute for file to load and view the files.

It will display the layout Tree view and Information page  shown below : 

Tree View will show the list of tags into the i-model

Item Information pane displays the i-model with its related properties and the meta-data.

In the middle pane at top header contains basic navigation controls.
