Problem Description:

User gets an error saying "Failed to fill template dropdown" when attempting to Bulk Import / Update Documents.

Cause:

The user does not have permissions (which may include scope access) on the template defined in Bulk Transaction Preferences screen.

Solution:

Grant the user permissions (including scope access) to the template defined in Bulk Transaction Preferences screen. Then have the user re-login to eBweb to try again.

If the error persists (even after the appropriate permissions and scope access are granted), please do the following:

  1. Login to eBweb as the ADMIN user
  2. Go to the Bulk Transaction Preferences screen
  3. Make a note of the current Class and Template configurations
  4. From the Class of the Configuration Template dropdown, select a different class
  5. From the Template Name of the Configuration Template dropdown, select any available template
  6. Click the Update button
  7. From the Class of the Configuration Template dropdown, re-select the class noted in step #3 above
  8. From the Template Name of the Configuration Template dropdown, re-select the template noted in step #3 above
  9. Click the Update button
