Failed to export file to local Drive. Error : unable to download the file because I could not write the new file.

Problem Description :

User failed to save file from eB to local drive. However user have full access to local drive.

While exporting file to local drive, below error occurs.

"I'm sorry there was a problem performing the action Download to D:// , an error occurred during the transfer.

Error: Unable to download the file because I could not write the new file.Destination :D\\"

Problem Solution :

You need to enable ActiveX plugins for IE as per below steps :

1. Verify that site you are using to access eB web is added to trusted site under Setting > Internet option of IE browser

 2. Verify that ActiveX control plugin is "Enabled" under Settings of IE browser > Internet options > Security > custom levels> Enable  plugins related to ActiveX

3. Close the Browser and restart to use.
