Bulk update security error

Problem Description:

While doing bulk security update after selecting all documents from the basket and go for “Manage object security” option, it gives an error.

Error:

Case 1: eB Version 15.6

Error: "I’m sorry, an error prevented the process from completing

The type, ‘Folder’, doesn’t recognize ‘Approve’ as a Permission."

Case 2: eB Version 16.4

Error: "I’m sorry, an error prevented the process from completing

The type, ‘{1}’, doesn’t recognize ‘{0}’ as a Permission."

Root Cause:

The select all check box for documents selects basket folder also and when we go for bulk update it shows that it cannot update the security of the folder.

Please see the below image for reference.

Solution:

We must do manual selection of documents in eB web and leave the check box of basket folder unmarked it will not give error when you go for the Bulk update.
