Problem Description:

When using the eBweb Manager to create a new eB website, user gets the following error:

This implementation is not part of the Windows Platform FIPS validated cryptographic algorithms.

This has happened on servers with the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy\ key enabled in the registry.

Set the key to Disabled in the registry by following the steps below:

Press Windows Key+R to open the Run dialog.
Type “regedit” into the Run dialog box (without the quotes) and press Enter.
Navigate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy\”.
Look at the “Enabled” value in the right pane. If it’s set to “0”, FIPS mode is disabled. If it’s set to “1”, FIPS mode is enabled. To change the setting, double-click the “Enabled” value and set it to either “0” or “1”.
Restart the computer.
