Problem Description:

User gets a blank dropdown/picklist on the eBweb search screen. Thus cannot select any objects (e.g. Documents, Physical Items) to search on. The same user can select any objects to search in Director. Only eBweb shows the problem.

Cause:

One cause of the issue has been identified as that the value of Maximum Inner Rows (set within eBSMC, under the Search tab of the Data Source) was too small.

Solution:

Increase the Maximum Inner Rows value (to, for example, 10000) in eBSMC, under the Search tab of the Data Source.

Workaround:

This value can also be set with eBweb. After logging in as the ADMIN user, go to the Show System Reports screen. Click System Preferences, and then expand Search Options. Change the MaxInnerRows value accordingly.
