User gets error on various screens or does not see new functionalities in ALIM Web after an upgrade

Problem Description:

When an upgraded web interface is released, the user may receive an error on some screens (e.g. check out/in, searching, Brava etc.) or not see the latest features that are available.

Cause:

This is a known issue especially for users who have used a previous build of the web interface before.

Solution:

These users' browser cache needs to be cleared by following the steps below:

  1. Close the browser, including any windows or tabs that may not be applicable to ALIM.
  2. Log on again to the browser.
  3. If that does not resolve the issue, select CTRL F5
  4. If that does not resolve the issue, clear the browsing history.

In EDGE:
Select the ellipsis in the top right-hand corner of the browser.
Select Settings from the actions
Select Privacy and Security
Select ‘Choose what to clear’
Make the appropriate selections (or keep the defaults)
Select Clear
Close the browser (and any other browser windows)
Log on again.

In CHROME
Select the vertical ellipsis in the top right-hand corner of the browser window.
Select the Settings action
Select the Main Menu icon.
Select Advanced
Select Privacy and Security
Select Clear browsing data
Make the appropriate selections (or keep the defaults)
Select Clear Data
Close the browser (and any other browser windows)
Log on again.
