Problem Description:
User gets the following error when attempting to run the eB System Management Console:
- An error occurred while making the HTTP request to https://<ALIMwebsite.domain.com>/Bentley/eB/Service/Session/Ws. This could be due to the fact that the server certificate is not configured properly with HTTP.SYS in the HTTPS case. This could also be caused by a mismatch of the security binding between the client and the server.
Cause:
As stated in the error text - this could be caused by a mismatch of the security binding between the client and the server.
Solution:
- Make sure you have a valid certificate generated for the Assetwise ALIM application server
- Start eB Manager service with the -D -C -I -R parameters
- Run eBSMC
- Click the Service Manager node
- Click the SSL tab
- Remove SSL (the temp certificate)
- Configure SSL (select your signed certificate)
