The “Email Transmittal(s)” option is missing from a Distribution Order/Transmittal

Problem Description:

The “Email Transmittal(s)” option is missing from a Distribution Order/Transmittal.

 

Cause:

This is because the distribution order has an “InProgress” status, which is a result of one (or more) of the distribution items having a status of "Create New Copy" instead of “Issued”.

Solution:

Get the distribution item's Status to “Issued” by following the steps below:

  1. On the distribution order screen click Create Copies under the Actions menu
  2. In the pop-up window select the Media Type
  3. Click the Create button
  4. Back to the distribution order screen, see that the item now has an “Allocation Pending” status
  5. Under the Actions menu click the “Create Transmittal”
  6. See that the pending item now has an “Allocated” status
  7. Click “Commit Transmittal” under the Actions menu 
  8. This will change the item's status to "Issued"
  9. See that the distribution order's status is now "Completed"
  10. And the “Email Transmittal(s)” option is available
