Problem Description:

User gets the following error when attempting to delete a document:

• The selected object is subject to an Approval Workflow and may not be deleted while the workflow is active.
• (From DbEventHandler: 'ebh_check_approval_wo_subject').

Cause:

As indicated in the error text - the document being deleted is associated with one or more work orders.

Solution:

1. Make a note of the document number, middle and prefix (e.g. DOC-00001 NULL 001)
2. Remove the document's association/relationship with any work orders by the following SQL delete statement:
3. delete from work_references where child_id = (select document_id from documents where prefix = 'DOC-00001' and middle IS NULL and revision = '001') and child_type = 3
4. Remove the document's references as an issued item by the following SQL delete statement:
5. delete from doc_issue_items where document_id = (select document_id from documents where prefix = 'DOC-00001' and middle IS NULL and revision = '001')
