Problem Description:

The COLD process gets the following error when creating new documents:

• "An error occurred copying the latest revision to the new revision. SQL Error: You don't have the required permission. You need 'Modify' permission on the revised object plus the 'New Object Instances / Add New Revision or Version' permission."

Cause:

Possibly there are more than one Current and Approved documents with the same Number (Prefix) and Middle in the system.

Solution:

Follow the steps below to manually create the new document revision.

1. Use ALIMweb or Director
2. Login as the ADMIN user
3. Search for the document number and middle
4. Determine which document to use to create the new revision
5. Go to the document
6. Make a copy of the document and specify the new revision number
