Problem Description:
The COLD process gets the following error when creating new documents:
- "An error occurred copying the latest revision to the new revision. SQL Error: You don't have the required permission. You need 'Modify' permission on the revised object plus the 'New Object Instances / Add New Revision or Version' permission."
Cause:
Possibly there are more than one Current and Approved documents with the same Number (Prefix) and Middle in the system.
Solution:
Follow the steps below to manually create the new document revision.
- Use ALIMweb or Director
- Login as the ADMIN user
- Search for the document number and middle
- Determine which document to use to create the new revision
- Go to the document
- Make a copy of the document and specify the new revision number
