There are issues when importing ES and QS's using provisioning spreadsheets. Once loaded they cannot be retrieved in eB.
Every report has a report type, and the system quick search and extended search for reports look only for report type = 5 (interactive report). If you want to find the quick searches and extended searches, you’ll have to create a report that looks for ReportType = 1 or ReportType = 2.
Each extended search has a property called “Extension of Quick Search” in the UI. This is a property on all reports, whose value in the database is NULL for all but extended searches. The spreadsheet does not have a column for setting the ExtensionOf property, but you can set it through the UI by clicking on Manage in the Director Search panel (if you have the global permission to manage quick and extended searches), then opening the extended search of interest. Note, if you created all your searches as ReportType = 5, you won’t see them in that Manage UI.
Some spreadsheets have an Instance Security tab that allows you to specify security for instances of objects (as contrasted with security for templates, which is what the other security tabs cater for). You can use that to set security for reports, folders, and other things that are not created via template.
In order to display the quick searches in the appropriate hierarchy, they need to be put in a particular eB folder. The spreadsheet has a Folder Objects tab that will add objects to a folder if you know the name of the folder. Unfortunately, this tab has a flaw, in that eB allows folders with different names as long as they are in different parent folders, and the Folder Objects tab does not accommodate tracing through a hierarchy of folders to distinguish among multiple folders with the same name.
Given the limitations mentioned above, I would have to say that the provisioning spreadsheets do not accommodate loading quick and extended searches.
