We have been using maintenance manager for 10 years as a text system without using the mapping interface. We no longer use Structures Manager

RE: MAI Inspections for Sections or Street

There is not currently a way to log defects against a group of section. As a temporary measure we are using our existing discoverer reports to produce schedules and monitor inspections in time with the below tweak.
Instead of calculating the last and next inspection of the section we will calculate it from the max of the inspection group with the correct criteria.
This will result in only monitoring just over 2000 streets per six month.

RE: MAI Inspections for Sections or Street

Hi, we have asked for product management team’s input regarding this issue. I am trying to determine the best way of scheduling and monitoring inspections across our network suitable for the new mobile solution.
Our current schedule is produced in discoverer looking at the nominated sections maintenance category, inspection interval (just over 2000 streets) and the management reports look at the last time each was inspected.
The difficulty I am facing is the defects and maintenance category relates to the section record not the street record. To manage a schedule for all the sections instead of streets would be overly complicated due to the volume involved.
I am hoping there is an existing function I am unaware of to set and track these inspections or the ability to log the inspection against a level 3 street instead of a section.

RE: MAI Inspections for Sections or Street

Hello withy, could you please specify what is your question or let us know if you want a comment on something related to your post.
