Accessing Spatial Manager and Database from home

Hi Martin, yes you should be able to run it from anywhere. Will you be using your work computer or a different one?

It would be my own personal computer at home.

What link should I use? customer.assetwise... or bentleyhosting.com\... ?

For the Highways application, use exor.assetwiseonline.bentley.com - that will take you to the 'portal' page. From there just enter the details as you usually do. If you don't have Java installed on your home computer you can obtain it from https://java.com/en/download/. For Spatial Manager you'll need to use Remote Desktop the same as you do in the office. You can use this Communities site from home too so if there are any issues let us know.

I was able to get into the Highways Application at home but failed with Spatial Manager.

Firstly what link should I be using? I tried the following and just got the page trying to load and then it said 'the connection has timed out' and mentioned that 'if your network is protected by firewall...' etc

I attempted with:

customer.assetwiseonline.bentley.com and bentleyhosting.com\Martin.Ward

I also attempted this with the Firefox Browser.

If I don't get any more feedback I will be working from home on Wednesday 15th February if anyone would like to acess my PC to try and get Spatial Manager working at home.

For Spatial Manager you need to use Remote Desktop rather than a browser, and use the customer.assetwiseonline.bentley.com as the address. What version of Windows are you running on your home computer?

Great, in that case, in the search box on the task bar, start typing 'remote desktop' and remote desktop connection should come up as one of the search results. Click to select remote desktop connection and enter customer.assetwiseonline.bentley.com as the computer. That should take you to the login screen you normally use for spatial manager.
