We recently found this had scheduled an Inspection on a reinstatement that was due to expire the following day. Technically correct but we try to organise our inspections so we're not driving miles to achieve few inspections.
Users have suggested a buffer period to prevent this happening - maybe a product option? They've suggested 2 weeks but maybe not everyone would agree with that.

What you describe is possible and I suspect some users would like it to carry on scheduling this way.
Does this scenario happen frequently?
A workaround could be to delete any inspections that you don’t want to do, which would add the inspection unit back into the pot for another inspection.
