FRM-92104 - Network Errors

Since being switched to laptops, following a hardware refresh and move toward flexible working, we are having frequent connection problems with our managed EXOR software.

I have attached the error message and expanded details.

Hardware & software as follows:

Windows 7, Internet Explorer 10 v10.0.17 Java 6 update 30, JInitiator 1.3.1.30.

We're using wired network connections and the network and internet connections seem stable. We're unsure as to whether there is a software compatibility issue or maybe a power saving setting that is cutting off a critical bit of software and causing the connection to crash.

Any help would be welcome, as we have raised this with our IT section and want to cover all bases.

Many thanks,

James

  • Hello James.  Looking at your software setup, it appears you have Internet Explorer 10 installed.  Looking at release configuration list, the tried and tested version of IE with your current version of software is IE8.  Would it be possible to trial this on 1 machine?

In addtion to the trial, would it be possible to obtain the contents of the java console?  Prior to sending the contents, you will need to set the logging level of the console to 5.  To do this, you will need to open the java console by right clicking on the icon->Open Console.  As soon as the console opens, press the number 5 on your keyboard.

    Kind Regards

    Feza

  • Thank you for your suggestions and your continuing efforts to get to the bottom of this. My colleague is investigating whether he can trial IE8 - I'll report back - and I've reset the Java console and captured the log up to, and including, a crash of the software. As the contents refer to our servers and IP addresses, I'm not comfortable sharing over this public forum. Is there a way that I can securely get the contents to you?
