I will tell you what I can see in the 'Database Connections' (not sure if you can see my Spatial?).
Every time I run your instructions I get a new 'Connection to Oracle', so now have Connection to Oracle (2) and Connection to Oracle (3).
And then I have 'Spatial Manager Connection.sde'
