When loading Work Order Invoice file an error in the spooled output appears.
The error “ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small”
A common error happens on loading, when records do not correspond specification
(document called - EXOR Specification for Contractor and Financial interface Manager).
On MAI3854 Invoice Verification form, a error message is displayed. Usually, it shows the erroneous record(s) which must be amended.
The error “ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small” appears when at least one record's field has length which is greater than specified.
You can reject erroneous already loaded data on MAI3854, then amend the data file and try to load it into the system again.
