Can’t open a Work Order MAI3800 form

Problem

When an user tries to create a Work Order from the Inspections (MAI3808) or Raise Work Order (MAI3801) forms, an empty Work Order (MAI3800) form appears but does not show the newly created work order. The record of that new work order has been added into work_orders table. Executing a query for that work order in the Work Orders form returns no data.

Solution

When a query is executed in the Work Orders form, a check is performed whether the road section of any attached defect belongs to the group of sections/groups which is specified in the GISGRPL (for Local roads or GISGPRD for DoT) product option.

Additionally specify a valid road group type in GISGRPTYP option.  The type must correspond to the road groups named in the GISGRPL (or GISGRPD) option.

Group members can be amended in the Group of Sections (NET1110) or Group of Groups (NET1145) forms which can be found under Network Manager / Network Management.

Product options can be checked / amended in the Product Options form (HIG9130) which can be found under Exor / Reference Data.
