Major Permit Responses may Fall on a Non Working Day
As a Major Works require a 1 Month response period not including the day the notice was issued. There will be times where the permit response date falls on a non-working day. There should not be an impact on users as you will have a whole Month to respond to it. The user may only be impacted if the permit has been missed if they are not reviewing any at a weekend or Bank Holiday.
Here are a couple of useful ways to check Permits response date in the TMA Product.
Firstly you can run an Apex report by going to TMA > Reports > Permit Status
Filter by Applied and click Go. Then check permits deemed dates and note any which are still at applied on a weekend. This report can be run daily to check that these permit no longer show, as they have now been Granted/refused.
Another way is to use the Review notice form. A lot of users check this daily and change the review status to ‘reviewed’. If you do this follow the step below but also add ‘not reviewed’ on the ‘status’ field as well.;
In TMA1030 Put the form in Query mode and enter <=future date
For example it has been identified that some Major permits response dates fall on 25th December. These will be any major works which were created on 24th November and because the response period is 1 month not including the day it was issued so date equals xmas day.
So to check these enter a date of <=26-dec-2014
Then Execute query and see if any results are returned. It will return any permits where the response date is less than and equal to the 26th December.
Remember to do the same for all Bank Holidays and Weekends so to ensure nothing is missed.
