 Problem

Unexpected error occurred
ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("HIGHWAYS"."BOQ_ITEMS"."BOQ_EST_DIM1")

Solution

The issue can occur if the user not tabbing or clicking out of the dimension 1 field before closing the BOQ items window or saving. To trigger the Oracle Forms validation that populates the BOQ item quantity and the cost, the user either needs to tab out of the dimension 1 field, or click elsewhere in the BOQ items table before proceeding
