Problem Description

Every time I try to cancel defect creation (click ‘Cancel’) or when posting assets (online) MapCapture becomes unresponsive / freezes for a minute or two. In the posting case features are posted (notification appears at the bottom) and then MapCapture becomes unresponsive. 

Steps to Resolve

One of the things that could cause this are maps attached as a reference files. To check if that is the issue:

1. Go to ‘File’ – ‘References’. You will see a list of attached files (or a single file) here.
2. To detach the map right-click on a map file in ‘References’ and choose ‘Detach’.

If you discover that the reference file is causing this issue you can try to export elements to a new .dgn file and attach it as a reference. This can be done in Map Manager:

Right-click on ‘Layers’ in Map Manager and choose ‘Export’
