Error or Warning Message

Index "<highways owner user>.<index name>" or partition of such index is in unusable state.

Explanation

This can happen after an unexpected shutdown of the database, e.g. a powercut - if the database does not shutdown normally an index can end up out of step.

How to Fix

If you are a Managed Service user, contact Bentley Support to run this for you.

1. Log into SQL*Plus as the Highways owner user.

2. Enter the command: alter index <index name> rebuild;

3. Attempt the failed operation again - if the error persists contact Bentley Support.
