Error or Warning Message

When loading assets via the CSV loader, error

XSP xx not allowed for inventory xxxx

is encountered.

How to Avoid

Option 1 Check XSP Metadata

  1. If the XSP should be allowed for that asset type, in the Elements form (Network Manager / Network Management / Elements, module NM0105) and make a note of the subclass of the relevant section.

  2. In XSP and Reversal Rules (Asset Manager / Asset Reference Data / XSP and Reversal Rules, module NM0305), enter the network type, subclass and XSP value, click in the Allowable Asset Items section of the form and press F8 or click the Execute query button in the toolbar.  Ensure the asset type you're loading is in the list.

  3. If the asset type isn't in the list, add it here, save your changes and retry the load.

Option 2 Check Spatial Location

  1. In some cases, the coordinates given in the CSV file can also affect this, if the coordinates given are too far away from the point indicated by the chainage value on the section.  It is easiest to check this in Locator or Spatial Manager.  If the coordinates are > approx. 100m away, check if they are correct and whether the asset should be located on the section given, or if another is closer.
