Adding or Updating a District
User has asked for another prefix to be created. This prefix is in relation to the works reference.
Each District under your Organisation will have a different number, so if you would like to issue works under a new district you will need to add a new district and then assign it to the user that requires this.
If you are intending to send outside of your organisation you will need to make sure you publish the update OD file so receiving systems will have your new district. If just raising works internally then you won’t need to publish the change.
You edit districts in the Organisation and Districts form (NSG0110). Go to Street Gazetteer Manager > Data > Organisations and Districts. Put the form in query mode and query back Your Org Ref. Then you can change Districts 'Names' by overtyping and saving.
To add a new district simply click into an empty district and then add all the mandatory fields (you can copy the details form another district if sending to the same place) Then Save. If the district will be internal do not tick the submit button. If the district will be something all utilities will need to use click the submit button. Then save and produce the OD XML file and publish the changes with Geoplace.
Go to > Street Gazetteer Manager > Administration > Administer User Districts. When the form loads find the user in the list and click on them so they are highlighted yellow. Then at the bottom of the form there is a user district section. Here you will add your Org number and then the required district like 888. Save or set as current.
