There are a number of keyboard shortcuts in the Exor application that can save time, especially when undertaking large volumes of data entry.  These often replace the need for mouse clicks which can slow data entry down.

List of Keyboard Shortcuts in Exor

Key(s)ActionDescription
tab / shift+tabnext / previous field
PgDn / PgUpscroll down / upIn forms where a scrollbar appears, PgDn / PgUp can be used instead of clicking the scrollbar.
ctrl+PgDn / ctrl+PgUpnext / previous blockIn forms with multiple ‘blocks’ (areas for data entry, e.g. the Elements form NM0105), to move between the blocks, i.e. in this case from the element details to the attributes section of the form.
F10commit / save
F7enter query
shift+F2count queryshows how many records the query will retrieve
F8execute query
F6insert recordCreates a new blank record in the current block.
F4duplicate recordUsually used in combination with F6, this can be a time-saver when entering multiple rows with similar data – it copies all the data from the previous row, then you can amend as required before saving.
F3duplicate field / current dateIn character or number fields this behaves in a similar fashion to F4, i.e. if used in multi-row blocks like the Work Order Priorities form (MAI0132), this copies the contents of the same field from the previous record.  In date fields it inserts the current date
F9list of valuesLists the valid values for any field with an arrow next to it.
F2list tab pagesIn forms with multiple tabs, e.g. Asset Metamodel (NM0410), F2 brings up a list of the tabs, then you can use the arrow keys and enter to move between them.
shift+ctrl+F1document managerIn forms where documents can be associated, this opens the document association form
shift+F1display errorIf an error is encountered, this can give more details to pass to support.
alt+F4close/cancelIn query mode this cancels a query.  Otherwise it closes the current form (without saving, although you may be prompted to save changes before the form closes)
