Whilst running an inspetion file into the loader and with Automation rules set up the following warning messages was received:
Failed to create Work Order for Defect xxxxxxx Warning: No Automatic Work Order Rules defined for Repair target date 31-MAY-2017
Ensure MAI 4.7.0.0 Fix 5 applied.
Check the date repair due for defect xxxxxxx is within the date range of the automation rules set up for the defect, form MAI3818. If it doesn't it will not match those currently in place ( as next years not setup ). Also check that the combination of the activity, defect, priority, treatment is there to match...the priority meant the repair was being calculated as due in 2018.
Sometime ago we did a modification MAI 4.7.0.0 Fix 5 to the system to allow the rules to work on a different date to cope with end of year scenarios and people wanting the option of joint repairs on the same order ( and hence financial budget ) or to use a different date from date repair due of a defect to allow some choice over the date used for the work order automation rules
When identifying Repairs to add to a Work Order, Work Order Automation rules were placing multiple repairs on separate Work Orders, even though Multiple Repairs should appear on the same Work Order. This happened when the repair due dates on each of the repairs fell between different financial years.
The Work Order Automation Rules form (MAI3818) has been modified to allow for either the Repair Due Date (Default) or Inspection Date to be used to identify the repairs to add to a Work Order, by use of a new radio button:
So following years automation rules and budgets need to be thought about in advance as they maybe needed earlier than you would expect depending on how you want to operate.
Contact Bentley Support should you wish to auto create work orders retrospectively with defect/repairs loaded that failed automation rules- as it maybe possible to do post metadata changes e.g. new rules added or different date selected for rules to operate on. inspection date over repair date due.
