We are often asked how to set up alerts against a group of email addresses, or how to change the recipients of an alert to reflect staff changes etc.
- Go into Exor / Reference Data / Mail / Alert Setup (HIG1520), find the alert you want to change, highlight it and click the Mail Setup tab:
This one is set up to send to a mail group called ‘Defect Notify’
- To find out who is a member of the group, go to Exor / Reference data / Mail / Mail Groups (HIG1901) and highlight the appropriate group name in the top half of the form to see the members in the bottom half:
- To remove users from the group, just highlight their name and click the red ‘x’ in the toolbar and save your changes. To add users, if they are already users in the system, click in a new line (or click the green ‘+’ in the toolbar) and select them from the drop down list.
- To add people who are not Exor users but you want them to be notified anyway, go to Exor / Reference Data / Mail / Mail Users (HIG1900).
Add the name and email address of each new contact, save your changes and then you should be able to add them in the Mail Groups form. You can also add them via the Create Mail User button within the Alerts form.
