Problem

An Authority has advised that an inspection has not been transmitted through EToN and when the EToN status is set to 'ready for sending' it reverts back to Not Transmitted through EToN upon saving.

Solution

Firstly check the Inspection Type, if this is set to 7 Routine.  If this is set to Routine it is important to note that ONLY failed routines will send.  Please see page 131 of the EToN specNote 3 and 4

3. All Sample inspections will be sent, irrespective as to a Pass or Fail outcome.

4. Other inspection types (e.g. including ‘Routine’) will only be sent for a Fail outcome or where the inspection is being referred to as supporting evidence, e.g. to back up an FPN or S74(A) invoice will have a EToN Status of Not Transmitted through EToN.

As an authority you do not need to send these so they can be saved as a record on your system.  If you want these to be sent then the Inspection Type MUST be changed to a status which is transmitted through EToN Like Sample.
