Problem

I want to create an inspection (and then a defect) against an individual feature, rather than generate an INSP file I wondered if there was a way of creating a bespoke inspection. This can also be a way of entering a retrospective inspection.

Solution

Query an existing defect of the type you wish to manually create on the view defects screen, then select edit to see the forms you will be using when inputting a new inspection/defect/repair , take some screenshots. Then exit the view defects form and go to the Inspections form Fastpath MAI3808 and enter the defect and repair details - you can enter an asset against the defect ( if required). If automation rules are set up and the defect matches a rule, then the defect may get automatically put onto a works order.
