AWLRS - Known limitations
Product(s):
Assetwise ALIM Linear Referencing Services (AWLRS)
Version(s):
1.1.x
Environment:
N/A
Area:
N/A
Subarea:
N/A
This is the list of known limitations for the current version of AWLRS (1.1.6):
Network Extents are not supported as yet. Support for network extents will be included in a future version of AWLRS.
Off-network Hierarchical assets with an ‘IN’ relation are not supported. Only Off-network Hierarchical, point assets with an 'AT' relation, are supported.
Only Off-network point assets, with network locations are supported.
Hierarchical child assets cannot have more than one parent asset type. Configuring your system in that manner may cause login to fail.
When you create a new datum and you pan or zoom the map before you start digitizing, the blue dot on the cursor disappears. You will need to click on a different edit tool (e.g. edit) and then the [Create new datum] tool to reinstate the digitizing cursor's blue dot.
If you do a split or merge with the [Rescale All] switch set to “On” and then you undo the operation, this will not also revert the associated routes to their previous condition. You will need to run ‘Rescale’ manually on all affected routes.
Ambiguous locations: You cannot use the [Locate from map] button to define a location that spans PoEs as you may get validation errors in specific network configurations (e.g. that the end offset is greater than the Maximum allowed offset).
Specific workflow only: When the Create new asset dialog is open and the user clicks on the [Center to] button the system will display a confirmation dialog to close the form or not. If the user chooses to close the Asset dialog, the Center to dialog will display as normal. However, if the user immediately close this dialog, the system will re-open the Asset dialog and the confirmation dialog.
You may get an ‘invalid attribute supplied’ in the Advanced search dialog in some cases when using the Network Filter. If this occurs, select any attribute to search on with an operator of ‘has value’ or click on the [Reset] button.
(IE-specific) If any of the selectable layer names contains parentheses e.g. “Layer Name (more text)” you may not get correct results after a rectangle or point selection (not all expected records will be returned)
If you have just completed an editing session (and Finished Editing) and then you attempt to undo a split or a merge in a datum, you may notice that the datum and node layers display as vector data. If this occurs, start editing on the datum layer and then click on [Stop Editing] without making any changes to reset the layer.
