One last thing about the test environment I hope you can help us with. Build download works a treat, except it doesn't move the files afterwards.
I can see the shape files being created in the correct location on the database server, and I can see some of the batch files it also creates in the directory referenced by the BATCHFILES product option - but not all of them.
Do you know what would cause some users to apparently not be able to create the bat files which moves the MCI files out to the FTP?
Looks like the code uses a user option over a product option where it is present and in your setup when doing an extract it uses the option SDEEXTRACT , the user option and product option had the same value but the user option did not match the case of the directory on the server. Correcting resolved the problem for the sub-user in their options. With the Oracle directories as the owner also applied java role privileges (HIG1895) as these were not set for the MCP directories either- Java role privs tab. If directories don't exist on the server then would have to reapply priviliges after creation (if done before). All options beginning with SDE% should match the case on the server and user options should also be the same . The product option DOMCPFTP was set to Y. Setting product option MCPDEBUG to Y leaves the bat batch files behind so can investigate what is produced.
After making the change to the user option SDEEXTRACT the files auto ftp'd after creation.
