Problem
An user has 3rd party WMS solution which now is unsupported, what are WMS alternatives for the user ?
Solution
Most of our users tend to use a Web Mapping Service (WMS) for background mapping, usually with Ordnance Survey (OS) data layers. OS data can either be processed by users and users publish a WMS using software such as Cartology (CIvica), Snowflake, FME, but these require them to obtain the data and process it. Users can also source a WMS from an agency that has already processed the data and offers it as a service such as OS or Statmap.
