Problem
Whilst creating a layer through the GIS Layer Tool, the following error message appears:
Invalid SQL Statement
In addition, indexes fail to create on the layer.
Solution
The recompilation of the following package on the server logged in as the SDE user (SQL Plus session) is required. Pass in SDE as a parameter, e.g.
start C:\arcgis\arcsde\ora10gexe\lib\sdo_util.spb SDE
where C:\arcgis\arcsde\ora10gexe is where the SDE installation folder is.
Once recompiled, retry creating the layer.
