How to add an Exor server to the Java site exception list

Please note the 32-bit version of Java 1.8 should be used.  We have tested up to version 1.8.0_202 so far.

1. Use the Windows search to find the Java Control Panel app.  Depending on your version of Windows it may appear as 'Java Control Panel',' Configure Java' or 'Java (32-bit)'

2. On the Security tab, make sure the tickbox for 'Enable Java content' is ticked.  Set the security level to High

3. Click the 'Edit Site List' button, and in the 'Exception Site List' form that pops up, scroll to the bottom of the list and click the Add button.

4. In the blank field marked as in the screenshot, add the Exor application server URL.  You can find this by attempting to start the Exor application - the address in the browser window will give you the correct one.  It will be something like this:

https://servername.bentley.com/forms/frmservlet?config=Exor

The text that should be entered in the Java site exception list is the https://servername.bentley.com part.  Click OK and then OK again to close the Java Control Panel.

After doing this you may need to clear your Java cache (https://communities.bentley.com/products/assetwise/exor/w/wiki/25358/how-to-clear-your-java-cache) and restart the browser for the changes to take effect.
