&lt;p&gt;Exporting a shapefile from AWLRS and importing into ArcMap works fine.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, if the field names exported in the shape files have spaces , then when importing into ArcMap this can result in a blank attribute table .&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;eg After importing shapefile into ArcMap , Select layer, right click on layer , select Open Attribute table&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If this occurs there is a work around please see lower down on how to do.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;However in QGIS this works fine on import&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Work around to overcome in ArcMap, export the layer just imported and then view it again, that seems to convert the spaces to underscores and allows the attributes to be seen&lt;/p&gt;
