Unable to connect to Power BI dataset

Product(s): Power BI (used by Managed Service users)
      Version(s): N/A
      Environment: N/A
      Area: Reporting
      Subarea: N/A

    Problem

User reports they are unable to connect to a hosted dataset via Power BI desktop.  The error is 'We're unable to connect. Please delete your credentials and try again later.'

    Solution

It seems this is a known issue since the last Power BI update from Microsoft and they're working on a fix due to be released end of June 2022.  Details can be found here

In the meantime, the workaround they suggested is:

File > Options and settings > Options > Global > Security > (scroll down) Authentication Browser > Check the box "Use my default web browser"
