Application date format does not match Windows date format

Problem

Sometimes in ALIM for Transportation, dates can appear in a format that doesn't match your Windows language / region settings, e.g. dates appear in US format when your computer is set to UK format.

Solution

  1. Click the 3 dots on the top right of your browser window, then select 'Languages' from the list on the left hand side.
  2. Check which languages are listed. Use the Add Languages button if the right one is not displayed.
  3. If you want dates to display in UK format, make sure you have 'English (United Kingdom)' selected, not just 'English'.  
  4. Click the 3 dots against the language you want to use and select 'Display Google Chrome in this language' in Chrome, or 'Display Microsoft Edge in this language' from the menu.
  5. Restart the browser for the changes to be applied, then log into the application again.
